back to 2005 Texas

Julie and I spent the better part of a day at Mustang Island beach.

Julie was prepared to get some sun.

There was a faux reef made of large red granite blocks. We walked out.

This poor fish was trapped.

After several hours of swimming and sun, we headed to town to get something to eat. We stopped at a knick-knack shop that had a huge shark as its entrance.

Inside they sold colorful crabs.

After lunch we headed back to Mustang Island beach. We sure got our money's worth out of the day pass. This was the beach house.

The next day, we did much less swimming. Too much sun or something. We decided to see what downtown Corpus Christi looked like.

Downtown was pretty much dead. Julie stands next to a southwest mural.
