Backpacking In / Around Prescott, Arizona
Introducing the Prescott Backpacking Club
Having moved to Prescott some months back, I haven't been able to find
a group of local people interested in backpacking. I contacted the
local college and also talked to a guy who worked at the hike shack, but
nothing. So, I am proposing to start the Prescott Backpacking Club (PHC).
If you live near Prescott, Sedona, Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Jerome, Groom
Creek, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, etc. and have interest in camping,
car camping, backpacking, climbing, bouldering, trekking, and/or other
outdoor activities, click here to send me a message.
Tell me where you live and what activities you like to do.
At present, there are no rules, bylaws, or fees. Let's keep this
simple.
Whether it is deserts, mountains, rivers, wilderness, lakes, or
the Grand Canyon, there is a lot to do in Arizona. Let's share
the adventure!

2004 May 11 — I was E-mailed by a person who informed me of the
Prescott College Adventure Education program. I wish I had known
of this earlier. You can read more about this program here.
