We got a pretty good roll on boulder. The picture is blurry because the rock
is trucking. God help you if you are on the rock side of this rock's fury.
After the boulder was done with its roll, JD and I followed the path. You don't
need to be Sherlock Holmes to find the path, but it doesn't hurt. Part way down
the mountain we found that it gouged a tree. If it would have only hit the tree
head on we might have met our shear-goal.
You hear a lot of crunching and smashing sounds as the boulder seeks equilibrium.
When you follow the boulder's path towards enlightenment, you see that the journey
was not without its difficulties. Here we see that the boulder utilizes a
"smashed-earth policy."
This is no lie. The boulder flew into the air and left its mark eight feet on
a tree. I said to JD afterwards "that was eight feet." He said "no... not that
high." I said "yeah, but you are six feet high. Where was the gouge in relation
to you?" He said "hey! You're right! It was eight feet."
